Notice to the RAGE Membership:
Deadline: August 20, 2018
Any and all proposals to amend the Pleasanton Girls Soccer Association Constitution MUST be presented to the Board of Directors at least (60) days prior to the Annual General Meeting. Any member in good standing can propose a change(s) to the Constitution. The Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018.
Amendments to the Constitution shall be voted on at the AGM.

RAGE Board of Directors Annual Elections
A Nominating Committee has been formed and is actively looking for candidates for the RAGE Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is composed of the Executive Committee and other elected Directors. The slate of candidates will be presented at the September 12, 2018 Board meeting. Nominations from the floor may be made at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in October. The candidates for the Board of Directors’ positions will be voted upon by the membership following the AGM. Those elected will take office on January 1, 2019 and will serve for a term of two (2) years. For a description of specific Board of Directors positions, please refer to the “Constitution” and “Bylaws” within the “About Our Club/Governance” link. Pleasanton RAGE and San Jose Earthquakes Fundraiser
Ballistic United and Pleasanton Rage Soccer Clubs are sponsoring a combined fundraising event to go see the San Jose Earthquakes take on Sporting Kansas City @ Avaya Stadium in San Jose. This match takes place on Saturday, September 15th @ 7:15pm. Tickets are $30 per person and the deadline to order is August 15, 2018.
In addition to attending the match, your player has an opportunity to win a spot in one of the On Field Youth Experiences (must be able to arrive by 5:45pm). Raffle tickets are $1 per ticket, 6 for $5 or 20 for $15. Raffle drawing will take place on September 1, 2018 – winners will be notified by email.
If interested, please complete the attached flyer and return with payment on or before August 15, 2018. You will receive an email at the email address you indicate on the form once tickets are available for pick-up at the BUSC Office.
BACK AGAIN this year are discounted tickets offered to all members who might like to attend the Cali Clasico at Stanford Stadium. Soccer Shots
We are pleased to announce that Soccer Shots will be partnering with BUSC and RAGE to offer a 3-4 year old age group Soccer Camp at the same time and location as our Summer Day Camp on July 23-26 from 10am-12 pm at Amador Valley Park (Aquatic Park).

Spring into Action
The Spring Into Action committee would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out and made RAGE’s first ever day of service, a success. We had more than 70 people volunteer their time at various locations around Pleasanton, including the Valley Humane Society, the Adobe Creek Clean Up, a soccer clinic for kids with special needs, baking goods, and running three hugely successful bake sales at our sports fields. Our vision for the event was to encourage RAGE players to take time out of their busy schedules and give back. This year’s event was the beginning of a grassroots movement to encourage all of us to recognize how fortunate we are, and to give back to the community. We hope that everyone will participate next year!
As part of this project, we held 3 bake sales to raise money, collect cleats, and build awareness for Girls Soccer Worldwide, a non-profit organization that uses soccer as a vehicle to influence gender equality and female empowerment. Due to incredible support, we were able to raise more than $800 and nearly 60 pairs of cleats. Congratulations RAGE families for being part of something larger than ourselves.

Spring Into Action Organizing Committee
RAGE WPSL is Looking for Players!
The @RAGE_WPSL team is looking for Collegiate players as well as committed players and prep players interested in playing Collegiate soccer. Prep players should be High School Juniors and older.
@RAGE_WPSL plays in the @WPSL (http://www.wpslsoccer.com/) PAC NORTH CONFERENCE. Teams in this conference are from Marin, Mountain View, Fresno, San Francisco and Sacramento to name a few cities.
The season is roughly mid-May through mid-July from first practice until the last game. There will be approximately 8 games with 4 likely being home in Pleasanton and 4 away games.
Practices will likely be twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. We are expecting 30-40 women interested in being on the Team, training and playing.
Head Coach is Walter Pratte (walterpratte@pleasantonrage.org) who will be assisted by other RAGE coaches as needed and available. Namely Philippe Blin, Darin Preszler and Axel Thibodeau.
Coach Walter will decide on game day rosters of 18 players.
RAGE will provide or pay for:
- Game day jerseys.
- WPSL Team Registration
- Coach’s Costs
- Field Costs
- Referee Costs
PLAYER COST (each player
would pay for this):
- Travel to training and games.
- Shorts and socks – color TBA
- $25 WPSL Player Registration fee for ALL players.

Costa Rica ODP Trip
I was selected to play for Region IV ODP and represent rage being the only player from the area to go.My trip to Costa Rica was truly an experience that I will never forget.Being selected for this trip was an honor because playing at the highest level is what I aspire to do.The environment we were in was as if we were the U.S national team,we all worked very hard to get onto this team and we wanted to win the tournament.My team had practice every day twice a day from the day we landed.We had a morning training,then lunch and off to our afternoon session.It was an amazing experience to play in a stadium for an international tournament.The competition was very hard and talking to some of the players after the game on the other teams was eye opening.They are all different ages ranging from 15 all the way to 34.
Once our game was over the teams choose who the thought the best player was on the other team,I played the whole game against our hardest competition and kept a shut out and had 7 game defining saves.The best feeling is knowing after the game when the other team was asked who the best player was and i hear them all say “la portera!” knowing they were talking about me.Being recognized like that was a huge honor coming from a professional team from another country.These players are good competition to play against, they deserve to be on the professional teams they are on.
On our day off we went to help people in the community so we bought toys for some kids to play with at a school for struggling families.We spent and hour playing with kids who’s families are going through rough times and need help whether it be a single mom or drinking problems at home, the school helps the parents recover and the child get a good education.This was the highlight of my trip because seeing those kids faces when they walked out jumping in excitement.They don’t have the best situations and were beyond grateful to even get a few stickers from us.We then went to the beach and spent the day there to relax and take a break.
There were a lot of memories made with my team,coaches,and the costa rica soccer staff; our teams guide took us to the best spots in San José and our cultural night was a lot of fun to do.Cultural night is when they have a dance group put on a show for us and we eat all of the foods they typically eat there.But by far the best memories are with my coach Brandi Chastain because whenever we were bored she had us do something fun together or do competitions against the other regions that were there.We would have team meetings that were eye opening because our coaches are very experienced at what they do.I have learned a lot of new things on this trip but I will never take anything for granted because of this opportunity I have been blessed with.I would go to this trip over national camp because opportunities like this are rare and hard to come by.
I am beyond blessed to have this opportunity to play in an International tournament,be named mvp against the most difficult team,keep a shutout which no other goalkeeper did the whole tournament and win the whole tournament with an amazing team.I want to thank all of my Rage coaches for helping me get to this point in my life, shaping me into the player I am today, and always believing me.This has been the best experience of my life by far and I wouldn’t trade it for anything because not many people can say they help their team become international champions.
