It is more than a game, it is a way of life!  Where my family comes from (El Salvador) soccer is life and soccer makes people happy. Since I began playing soccer, it has always been fun. I coach because I want to spread my love for this beautiful game, share my knowledge and wisdom of everything I have learned and experienced as a coach and player. Most importantly I coach because I want to instill that same joy of playing this game that I have whenever I coach or play to make sure that the players understand that if you play with heart and passion, it can only make you that much better of a person and player. I wish to inspire young children to take the lessons of hard work, struggle and perseverance learned on the pitch, out into the real world in order to become successful individuals.

As much as I obsess over soccer, I am equally if not even more obsessed with bass fishing, I have fished since I was 3 years old and have not looked back. I fish for fun and I fish in bass tournaments too. I LOVE IT!

Enjoy About Coaching: First off, I love the game of soccer. When my playing career ended, I knew that I needed to stay plugged into the soccer world. This is when I developed the love for coaching. I thoroughly enjoy developing young athletes both physically and mentally inside and outside of the game. There is nothing that compares to watching players grow, building relationships, teaching the game, and mentoring and leading young spirits who are hungry to better themselves within the game. Becoming a coach gives me a greater appreciation for the coaches I had in the past, who helped guide me to this point in life.  Now I love giving back and investing in others. 

Enjoy Doing in Free Time: I love watching English Premier League soccer Saturday/Sunday mornings (COYG!). Spending time with my amazing wife on walks, at the gym, or in our backyard is also a big priority of mine. We also enjoy quick getaways to Monterrey or Half Moon Bay. You could also catch us simply enjoying a cup of coffee out and about.

Any Other Notable or Fun Facts: I hold a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Saint Mary’s College where I was a Graduate Assistant in the Strength & Conditioning Department. I thought this was what I wanted to do my entire life but then I started teaching PE at a local K-8 and fell in love with helping others develop a desire for fitness and overall health.  I am also ambidextrous.
