POSTPONED

We sincerely wish each and every family the best during these unprecedented times, and we look forward to a future date when we can all gather together to celebrate our two clubs.

Practice SAT and ACT Tests April 8

2021-04-02T14:05:48-07:00April 1st, 2021|

SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS – MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW
RAGE & BUSC will offer a practice ACT/SAT on April 8, 2021, from 10 am-1 pm, at Huntington Learning Center.  The cost is only $25 and the registration link to be sent in a future email.   Read below as to why completing one of the tests will help set you apart!
ACT/SAT- Why test optional is not an option
With COVID causing standardized tests to be postponed/cancelled, many colleges and universities have shifted to test-optional, test flexible, or test blind admissions models. With this in mind, many parents and students alike may think that standardized tests are no longer necessary for building a strong college application. While it may seem that way, the truth is that there are still many reasons your student should consider taking standardized tests-
  1. Test optional is just that – an option. Good test scores can still set you apart.
  2. Many merit scholarships still rely on standardized test scores.
  3. Many college majors or programs may still require a test score.

RAGE IS BACK

2020-06-29T14:44:07-07:00June 29th, 2020|

RAGE IS BACK ON THE FIELD and week 1 is in the books!

It was a successful week back on the field in our camp format and it was a pleasure to be working with our players on the pitch once again! It was great for the girls to have fun being together again while working on ball mastery and soccer fitness! Most importantly, health and safety is always our number one priority; our environment requires that everyone is always maintaining required physical distancing, we are training in small groups and have thorough sanitation and health screening procedures. Thank you to all of the hard work from RAGE leadership and to all who have pitched in to help make our returning to the field a success! We can’t wait until next week! GO RAGE!!!!

RAGE Training and NorCal Competitions Canceled Through the Month of April

2020-04-01T10:19:05-07:00March 12th, 2020|

While things certainly remain fluid, US Club Soccer determined today that based on federal recommendations, all in person soccer activities will continue to be suspended through at least April 30th.  We hope to return to the field in early May, but will continue to follow the lead of the CDC, state and local public health agencies, as well as our soccer governing bodies.  Based upon the mandates and recommendations of these agencies, we will update you as more is learned later in April.

At this stage NorCal Premier Soccer is considering several contingency plans, including an extension of the Spring competition season through the Summer, cancellation of the season altogether, and how the tryout/placement window will be handled if we are unable to conduct placements as planned in May.  Additionally, they are considering potential refunds based upon if and when the season resumes.  They will not be able to make this determination however, until a firm return-to-play date is established and potential season extension confirmed.  If we are refunded any of these competition related fees, we will certainly pass them back to our members and communicate that process as soon as we learn more.  The same is true for the ECNL, who is continuing to assess whether games and events will be cancelled or postponed.  That said, we will return to ECNL competition no earlier than May 4th, as our ECNL games on May 2nd and 3rd will no longer take place at that time.  We will also be able to address the handling of any previously collected travel funds once we receive confirmation regarding future ECNL events being cancelled versus postponed/rescheduled.

We are very pleased with the interaction and distance learning we’ve been able to conduct between our coaches and players over the past 2 weeks. Through the month of April, we will continue with this development platform and structure in order to take advantage of the opportunity to partner with our players in the following areas: growing their soccer IQ with our weekly match analysis and other tactical assignments; building their technical skills with assigned ball workouts; and maintaining fitness levels with our weekly workout assignments.  Additionally, our team video conference calls have been an important way for our coaches and players to check in on each other and maintain our team and community bonds.  Our coaches have been working hard to teach your daughters in this new sphere, and we thank them for their efforts in learning new technologies to optimize player development and create a positive experience for you.

We thank you for your partnership in these trying times and look forward to seeing you all out on the pitch as soon as we are able.  In the meantime, we wish you, your families and loved ones optimal health and safety.
