Notification to the membership by the RAGE Board of one (1) proposed amendment to the Constitution. This amendment will be discussed and voted on at the October 10, 2018 Annual General Meeting.

1:04 Authorities

1:04:01 Board of Directors. The PGSA Board of Directors shall be composed of the Executive Committee and other elected Directors, but in no case will the Board of
Directors be less than five (5) or more than fifteen (15) members. All Board of Director positions shall be voting.

1:04:02 Annual Election. The general membership present and voting at the Annual Election shall elect a slate of no less than five (5) and no more than fifteen (15) Directors from the Membership-At-Large. No more than one-half (1/2) or, in the event of a fraction, one-half (1/2) plus one of the Board of Directors shall be elected in any year. Elected Directors shall serve for a term of two (2) years. There shall be no term limits.

PROPOSED CHANGE to the CONSTITUTION: 

1:04:02 Annual Election. The general membership present and voting at the Annual Election shall elect a slate of no less than five (5) and no more than fifteen (15) Directors from the Membership-At-Large. Nominees shall be 18 years of age or older (or 16 with parent or guardian permission) during the year of election. No more than one-half (1/2) or, in the event of a fraction, one-half (1/2) plus one of the Board of Directors shall be elected in any year. Elected Directors shall serve for a term of two (2) years. There shall be no term limits.

Note: Open nominations will be accepted from the floor at the Annual General Meeting on October 10, 2018. These nominees must be present at this meeting. The Annual Elections shall be held via an online ballot vote within the week following the October AGM. Results will be tallied by the election inspectors and announced prior to the Board meeting in November.

At the first meeting of the 2019 calendar year, the Board will elect, from its 15 members, a President, Competitive Vice President, Recreational Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

Notice to the RAGE Membership:

Deadline: August 20, 2018

Any and all proposals to amend the Pleasanton Girls Soccer Association Constitution MUST be presented to the Board of Directors at least (60) days prior to the Annual General Meeting.  Any member in good standing can propose a change(s) to the Constitution.  The Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018.

Amendments to the Constitution shall be voted on at the AGM.

RAGE Board of Directors Annual Elections

A Nominating Committee has been formed and is actively looking for candidates for the RAGE Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is composed of the Executive Committee and other elected Directors. The slate of candidates will be presented at the September 12, 2018 Board meeting. Nominations from the floor may be made at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in October. The candidates for the Board of Directors’ positions will be voted upon by the membership following the AGM.  Those elected will take office on January 1, 2019 and will serve for a term of two (2) years. For a description of specific Board of Directors positions, please refer to the “Constitution” and “Bylaws” within the “About Our Club/Governance” link.
