Bios for our EXCITING NEW RAGE HIRES are below:
Joey Sudyka
- Youth Player Development and Expansion Director
- 2013 ECNL Coach
Joey is currently wrapping up his tenure as the Pre-Competitive Director and Head Coach at Mountain View Los Altos (MVLA) Soccer Club (2020–2026). Prior to that, he coached with the ECNL national powerhouse club, Beach FC (Southern California), and also served as the Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Long Beach State University (2015-2020). He has 18 years of coaching experience, over 10 of which have been at the Division I collegiate level. His most recent collegiate role was as the Women’s Soccer Interim Head Coach at San Jose State University (Spring 2025).
Vanessa Amaral

Vanessa is currently wrapping up her time as the 7v7 Competitive Director for Girls Unite. Vanessa has over a decade of coaching experience and has also served in leadership positions at both Dublin United and San Ramon FC. Vanessa played collegiately at Holy Names, serving as team captain and earning her degree in Kinesiology. She later earned a Master’s degree in Education, showcasing her commitment to youth development and leadership. She is currently a candidate in the UEFA combined C and B diploma course. Vanessa continues to compete professionally in Beach Soccer and is a current member of the United States National Beach Soccer Team.
Emily Scheese

Emily has been serving as an Assistant on our USL W team since the 2025 season and we are thrilled to have her now join our youth team coaching ranks as well! She is wrapping up her tenure as General Manager & Technical Director at SF SOL Girls Leading Goals and is currently a candidate in the USSF B license course. Emily has extensive coaching experience at both the youth and collegiate levels, including as a current ODP coach, 8 years at UC Santa Cruz (5 years as Head Coach) and another 7 years as the Head Coach at CSU Maritime Academy. Emily played collegiately at UC San Diego, winning the National Championship in 1996, 1997 and 1999.
