Air Quality and Heat Guidelines
This policy serves to protect the health and safety of our players and coaches by defining allowable play related to the Air Quality Index (AQI). Play decisions for any given day will be made by the club based on review of the AQI values reported in the noon hour and those forecasted for the remainder of the day at www.airnow.gov and www.purpleair.com.
In exceptional circumstances, Pleasanton RAGE may also cancel play based on other environmental or safety considerations regardless of reported AQI values.

The U.S. AQI is the EPA’s index for reporting air quality. AQI ranges from 0 to 500. The higher the AQI value, the greater the level of air pollution, and the greater the health concern. For each pollutant, an AQI value of 100 generally corresponds to an ambient air concentration that equals the level of the short-term national ambient air quality standard for the protection of public health. AQI values at or below 100 are generally thought of as satisfactory.
