Job Description – Tournament Director
OVERVIEW:
Pleasanton RAGE is seeking a candidate for the position of Tournament Director for the RAGE College Showcase and RAGE Girls Summer Cup events held during the last two weeks of July each year. This candidate will be the overall lead for tournament planning, staffing, and operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- On-site owner and decision maker for all aspects of all tournament operations
- Co-lead for all tournament pre-planning
- Operate tournament according to budget and team/coach participation targets as set by the RAGE Board of Directors
- Primary on-site liaison to:
- Referees Assignor ·
- Snack bar operator
- Medical athletic trainers
- All vendors
- College coaches
- Oversee Tournament Operations Lead
- Staff awards ceremonies at all venues for Girls Summer Cup
- Lead volunteer staffing and schedules (tournament prep, field marshals, set up and clean up, etc.)
- Secure donations (e.g. water) and coordinate pick-up/delivery with Tournament Operations Director
- Identify paid helpers to fill open positions for both tournament weekends (e.g. golf cart security, parking attendants)
- Ensure overall customer satisfaction
- Complete post-tournament survey and document action items
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of all tournament venues
- On-site at Sportspark from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on tournament days
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead people to complete short/specific tasks
COMPENSATION:
- $4,000, paid following completion of tournament duties or as a credit against a RAGE player account

Tournament Competition Lead
Job Description – Tournament Competition Lead
OVERVIEW:
Pleasanton RAGE is seeking a candidate for the position of Tournament Competition Lead for the RAGE College Showcase and RAGE Girls Summer Cup events held during the last two weeks of July each year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all aspects of tournament competition
- Address any escalations related to coach, player, spectator, or referee behavior
- Organize and lead training for field marshals prior to each tournament and oversee field marshal tent operations
- Liaison to Referee Assignor for competition issues
- Liaison to athletic training staff and emergency care responders
- Solve disputes related to tournament rules
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- On-site from 7:00 AM to tournament close each tournament day
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Skilled at defusing conflict
COMPENSATION:
- $1,000, paid following completion of tournament duties or as a credit against a RAGE player account
