Financial Aid – Competitive Player’s Club Dues
Pleasanton Girls Soccer Association (PGSA) provides a need-based financial aid program to help cover a player’s Club dues. This program does not cover uniforms, travel, lodging, or miscellaneous expenses. Each year the Club budgets a set amount to support the financial aid program, but this does not guarantee that all applicants will receive support.
Financial Aid – Competitive Player’s Travel Expenses
PGSA provides a need-based financial aid program to help cover a portion of a player’s travel expenses for a specific event. The travel aid does not cover the player’s portion of the event fee. Each year the Club will specify an amount to support financial aid for event travel expenses, but this does not guarantee that all applicants will receive support. It is important to request travel aid as soon as possible.
Application Process
The PGSA Financial Aid Committee, comprised of three Board Members, follows the guidelines of the financial aid program to make all financial aid decisions. In order to qualify, a family must complete an application and provide proof of eligibility. Families will be notified by email about program acceptance or denial. For a competitive player’s Club dues, financial aid is for the current season only. You must reapply each season. For a competitive player’s travel expenses, financial aid is on an event-by-event basis. You must reapply for each event.
Eligibility
Financial aid is need-based and is awarded to families based upon their income and/or other extenuating circumstances. A family’s income level is qualified using the County of residence income levels. Financial aid recipients are required to perform volunteer service and must participate in team fundraisers.
