2013 Recreational FLIGHT Information

Flight is a non-exclusionary Recreational Soccer Program – every player who registers for Flight will be placed on a team. Flight was designed for those players who desire to have a more serious approach to their Recreational soccer experience in order to take their game to a higher level.

Flight Outline

U12 Flight –

  • 5 individual team training sessions with a RAGE staff member (scheduled throughout the season as scheduled by each team’s head coach)
  • 2 multi-team training sessions with a RAGE staff member
  • Training sessions will be designed according to individual team needs.  Sessions will include both individual skill training as well as a focus on soccer tactics.
  • Season ending Jamboree
  • A competitively balanced league – To accomplish this we will hold two evaluation days and utilize coaches’ input on formation of teams.

U14 Flight –

  • 5 individual team training sessions (scheduled throughout the season as scheduled by each team’s head coach)
  • 2 multi-team training sessions with a RAGE staff member
  • Training sessions will be designed according to individual team needs.  Sessions will include both individual skill training as well as a focus on soccer tactics.
  • Season ending Jamboree
  • Traveling House league – U14 Flight teams will play in a local traveling house league where they will play against teams from other local clubs.

Rage 2013 Flight Registration Fees:  $405 (RAGE registration $280, Flight fee $125)

Registration and Evaluation Days

To participate in RAGE Flight, you must register your daughter through our normal online registration process.

Fall 2013 Age Group Birth Dates:
U12 - August 2001 through July 2003
U14 - August 1999 thorough July 2001

RAGE 2013-2014 Division 4 - Recreational Flight 2013 Evaluation Days: Please check back here for details on Flight Evaluations and to pre-register. This is for all U12 and U14 soccer players interested in playing at the Recreational level in a slightly more competitive environment.

Purpose: To enable our coaching staff to evaluate the players to ensure the teams are competitively balanced. There are two Evaluation Days and we ask that the players attend BOTH days. Every player who registers for Flight is placed on a team.

Evaluation Dates and Times:  TBD

Season Commitment

The Flight season begins in August and ends in November, just like the other Recreational programs. The time commitment is the same as the Recreational program. Practice dates and times are determined by the Head Coach at the beginning of the season. Games are played once a week during the season (with the exception of the Jamboree).

Jamboree

The Jamboree will be a season-ending event, played in November after the last of the league games.  The format of the Jamboree will be determined by how many teams are in each Rage Flight age group (this event is for Pleasanton Rage teams only).  It is most likely that the Jamboree will take place over the course of one weekend, and that each team may have multiple games in a single day.  The winner of each age group in the Jamboree will become the Pleasanton Rage representative in a season ending tournament.

Flight Coaches

If you are interested in being a Flight Coach for your daughter's team then we ask that you please do the following:  When you register your daughter online, mark “Head Coach” as a volunteer position for your daughter’s age group.

Questions

For additional questions regarding the program you may contact Recreational Program Manager: terra@pleasantonrage.org
